Report: Andrew Miller seeking 4-year deal
The best left-handed reliever on the free-agent market is in search of a long-term deal.
Andrew Miller is reportedly seeking a four-year deal and isn't listening to any other offers unless the average annual value blows him away, according to Jason Mastrodonato of MassLive.com.
The St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox have all been rumored to be interested in the 29-year-old who was exceptional last season. In 73 appearances between the Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles, Miller posted a 2.02 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 62 1/3 innings.
While Miller is seeking a multi-year deal, he isn't necessarily demanding the closer's job, as his agent told Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe that he would accept either the set-up or closer role.
