The Diamondbacks are considering moving Hudson back into a starting role, the Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

Hudson returned from his second career Tommy John surgery in 2014, logging 2.2 innings late in the season out of the Arizona bullpen. The organization's lack of veteran arms for the rotation may ultimately drive Hudson back toward a starting role, but it remains to be seen if his arm can handle the wear and tear of being a starter again. Hudson will turn 28 in March, but it would hardly be surprising if he's forced to limit his workload in 2015 if starting every fifth day is in the cards.
