The Kansas City Royals mustered a pretty typical effort at AT&T Park, relying on timely hitting and a supremely effective bullpen to lift them to a 3-2 victory over the San Francisco in Game 3.

Here are the top five highlights from Friday's contest:

Lorenzo Cain dazzled with his glove work yet again, as the 28-year-old enjoyed another sublime defensive performance in his first start in right field this postseason.

Cain, however, was treated to a taste of his own medicine in the fourth when Hunter Pence stole an extra-base hit from him with an impressive running grab in the right-field corner.

Alex Gordon, hitless in his previous five games, picked an opportune moment to snap his slump, as his sixth-inning double off Tim Hudson plated Alcides Escobar from second to extend Kansas City's lead to 2-0.

Though his opportunities have been limited this postseason, Michael Morse once again delivered when called upon. He pulled a double down the left-field line in the sixth to bring the Giants within two runs.

Salvador Perez was easily one of Kansas City's unheralded heroes in Game 3, as the former Glove Glove award winner nailed Hunter Pence trying to steal second base in the second inning and added another sensational defensive play in the eighth.
