The Philadelphia Phillies re-signed outfielder Grady Sizemore to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
The deal is worth a reported $2 million and is loaded with performance bonuses.
Sizemore joined the Phillies in mid-June after being released by the Boston Red Sox and put up mediocre numbers. The 32-year-old hit .253 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 60 games for Philadelphia.
Sizemore, a three-time All-Star, has had a number of knee surgeries that derailed his career.
