Nelson Cruz said it best after Baltimore completed its American League Division Series sweep of Detroit at Comerica Park on Sunday: "To be able to win three in a row was pretty shocking."

Nearly five hours later and 800 miles west, the same quote could be used to describe Kansas City's dismantling of the team with the best regular-season record in baseball.

The Orioles and Royals are headed to the ALCS, and just as shocking is who they sent home. Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels are three-and-done, as are the Tigers and their star-laden roster.
