Analysis:
The right-hander underwent the same procedure, called a sesamoidectomy, on is right foot in late July, ending his season. He's fully expected to be ready for spring training, and while he struggled to the tune of a 6.97 ERA and 1.79 WHIP in his 23 appearances with the Astros this season, he did show some improvement with his command, issuing seven walks in 20.2 innings.
