After taking a crack at Paul Molitor on Wednesday, the Minnesota Twins will be interviewing another of their former players for their vacant managerial position on Thursday.

Mientkiewicz, 40, was drafted by the Twins in 1995, and manned first base for them from 1999 to 2004, a run that concluded with three straight AL Central division titles. In his time with the club he hit .275/.367/.408 with 43 home runs and 146 doubles.

Mientkiewicz, who retired as a player in 2009, currently manages the Twins' High-A affiliate the Fort Myers Miracle.
