VIDEO: Royals' Butler commits egregious baserunning gaffe to quash early rally

A first-inning rally came to an abrupt halt for the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday evening when Billy Butler seemingly forgot how to run the bases, getting himself caught in a mind-boggling rundown that allowed Jon Lester to weasel his way out of an early jam.
Butler's baserunnings tactics were not particularly well received on Twitter, where some of the game's most prominent scribes pretty much eviscerated the 28-year-old.
