PHOTO: Empire State Building lit up in Yankee pinstripes to honor Jeter

If the series of gifts and tributes Derek Jeter received from rival teams during his farewell tour wasn't enough, one of New York City's most iconic landmarks has joined the action in paying respect to The Captain.

The Empire State Building lit up the sky in Yankee pinstripes Sunday and again on Monday to honor Jeter, who retired after a legendary 20-year Hall of Fame career. Jeter played his last game Sunday in the New York Yankees' 9-5 season-ending victory over the Boston Red Sox.
