Angels, Dodgers head into playoffs as World Series favorites

The Major League Baseball playoffs are set to get underway Tuesday night, as the Kansas City Royals play host to the Oakland Athletics in the American League wild-card game, while the San Francisco Giants take to the road with Madison Bumgarner on the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday for their NL Wild Card showdown.
The Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles will start their ALDS series Thursday and St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers will begin their NLDS series Friday. See the full schedule here.
