Mike Redmond will remain manager of the Miami Marlins for at least the next three seasons, as the 43-year-old agreed to a contract extension with the club Sunday.
Redmond replaced Ozzie Guillen as the club's manager prior to the 2013 campaign, leading the Marlins to a disappointing 62-100 record in his inaugural season in Miami. The Marlins, however, showed considerable improvement this season, entering the campaign's final day with a 77-84 record while notching their highest win total since 2010.
Redmond's entire coaching staff will return for the 2015 season, the team announced.
