Atlanta Braves (77-83) at Philadelphia Phillies (73-87), 7:05 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - Aaron Harang tries to finish with a .500 record when the Atlanta Braves continue their three-game season-ending series in Philadelphia tonight.

Harang was on track to finish in positive territory this season, but he's 1-5 over his last six starts. The right-hander is coming off a 1-0 loss against the Pirates on Monday. The Braves have been blanked by a combined 4-0 count over his last two appearances.

In 16 career games (15 starts) against the Phillies, Harang is 5-3 with a 4.88 ERA.

A.J. Burnett holds a $12.75 million player option on his contract after this season with the Phillies. The righty tries to avoid loss No. 18 tonight. Burnett is 2-9 over his last 13 starts. That includes a no-decision at Oakland on Sunday when he yielded three hits and six runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Burnett is 5-13 with a 4.17 ERA in 23 games (22 starts) all-time against Atlanta. His last win versus the Braves came in 2008. He is trying to avoid becoming the Phillies' first 18-game loser since Steve Carlton finished 13-20 in 1973.

The Phillies scored a 5-4 come-from-behind win last night. Marlon Byrd drove in the go-ahead run with a groundout in the seventh after the Phillies erased a 4-0 deficit.

After rookie Ken Giles pitched a scoreless eighth, the focus turned to how the Philadelphia fans would greet closer Jonathan Papelbon in his first appearance back at Citizens Bank Park.

Papelbon earned a seven-game suspension for his behavior after blowing a save against Miami on Sept. 14. He appeared to direct a crotch-grab at jeering fans behind the Phillies' dugout as he left the field.

To the surprise of no one, Papelbon entered to a chorus of boos from the home crowd on Friday night. He gave up a one-out double to B.J. Upton, but was able to record his 39th save of the season.

"(Papelbon) is a professional, he served his suspension. He's a professional about going about his business and being ready to close for us," said Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg.

Chris Johnson hit a two-run homer in the fourth off Jerome Williams.

Ervin Santana allowed eight hits and four runs in 5 2/3 innings in the start for Atlanta.

"Four runs with one of your best pitchers on the mound should have been enough, but sometimes you find different ways to put yourself in a corner," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said.

B.J. Upton broke the Braves' single-season strikeout record on Friday night, when he went down swinging in the second inning. It was the 172nd strikeout for Upton, one more than Dan Uggla's previous record of 171 set last season.

The Braves lead the season series with the Phillies 9-8, winning six of eight in Philadelphia. One more defeat and the Phillies will post their third straight losing season to Atlanta.
