Jackson has been moved to the bullpen, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

The Dodgers roughed Jackson up to the tune of five earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning last week, and it was evidently the last straw for Cubs manager Rick Renteria. Jackson will pitch out of the bullpen the rest of the way, and Renteria went on to say middle relief could be an ideal fit for the right-hander, who hasn't pitched extensively out of the bullpen since 2006. Jackson, who has two years and $22 million remaining on his contract, is 14-33 with a 5.60 ERA in his 58 starts with the Cubs.
