American League Game Summary - Tampa Bay at Boston

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Vazquez smacked a two-run homer among his four hits, three RBI and two runs scored as the Boston Red Sox routed the Tampa Bay Rays, 11-1, in the rubber match of a three-game set.

Rusney Castillo belted a three-run shot for his first career homer for Boston, which has won four of its last six games. Allen Webster (5-3) allowed a run on seven hits and a walk over seven innings to notch the win.

"A lot of very good at-bats, particularly at the bottom of the order," Red Sox manager John Farrell said.

Jeremy Hellickson (1-5) surrendered six runs -- five earned -- on eight hits over 2 1/3 frames for the Rays, who have dropped five of their last seven contests.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into the home second, before the Red Sox plated two runs in the inning and four more in the third to surge ahead.

Vazquez whacked his no-doubt two-run blast off the Auto Insurance banner down the left-field line to break the tie, and Yoenis Cespedes scored on an error in the third for a 4-1 Boston lead.

Later in the frame, Castillo launched a fastball over the heart of the plate from Steve Geltz into the front row of seats atop the Green Monster in left- center for his three-run shot, giving the Red Sox a 7-1 margin.

Boston pushed across two more runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings.

Mookie Betts had an RBI double and Cespedes added a run-scoring groundout in and sixth, while Bryce Brentz hit an RBI single and Vazquez ripped a run- scoring double in the seventh to make it 11-1.

Daniel Nava's sacrifice fly that plated Betts in the first inning opened the scoring. Ben Zobrist's RBI base hit in the second knotted the game at 1-1 for Tampa Bay.
