VIDEO: Yasiel Puig fires perfect strike home for run-saving assist

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Memo to Brandon Belt: Don't run on Yasiel Puig, especially from second base on a shallow grounder up the middle.

Belt knows that now after the San Francisco Giants first baseman tried to score the go-ahead run with the game knotted at two in the top of the 11th.

Puig's toss is best described as perfect: glove side, low, with no bounce.

Puig's efforts were spoiled two innings later, as the Giants plated three in the 13th to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2, and move within 3 1/2 games of the division lead.
