Avila (head) is back in the lineup Monday against the White Sox, The Oakland Press reports.
Analysis:
Avila hasn't played in the team's last six games after taking a ball to the mask last weekend. He was experiencing concussion-like symptoms over the past week but has been officially cleared by Major League Baseball to return to action. He'll be behind the plate and bat seventh against White Sox starter Chris Bassitt.
