Elias (elbow) could potentially pitch out of the bullpen this season if his MRI results come back clean, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.

Analysis:

Even if the tests yield favorable results, Elias won't start another game this year, so any potential fantasy value will likely be limited. The lefty was forced out of last Tuesday's contest after three innings due to elbow stiffness, and the Mariners wasted no time in sending him for an MRI. Elias has already thrown 163.2 innings this season, but it sounds like the team is open to getting him just a little more work in 2014.
