Los Angeles Dodgers (88-67) at Chicago Cubs (69-86), 2:20 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - With a big series coming up Monday night, the NL West- leading Los Angeles Dodgers decided to shuffle their rotation.

Instead of Dan Haren starting, Jamey Wright will toe the rubber Sunday afternoon for Los Angeles in the finale of a four-game series versus the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly chose to move Haren to Monday's opener of the three-game set against the Giants at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers suffered an 8-7 loss Saturday afternoon. But the Giants then fell to the Padres at night, keeping kept L.A. 3 1/2 games ahead of the Giants in the race for first place.

Wright gets the task of starting the road finale for the Dodgers. The 39-year- old right-hander has made just one start since the end of 2007. His longest stint this season was three innings, which he did twice. Wright is 8-5 with a 3.21 ERA in 21 games (15 starts) all-tims (8 starts) versus the Padres, who he has not faced this season.

Ian Kennedy starts for the Padres and avoided a third straight loss when he beat Philadelphia 5-4 on Tuesday. The righty yielded three runs on three hits, two of those homers, and four walks over six innings, striking out seven.

"I felt better than what the line score looked liked," Kennedy said after improving to 11-13 with a 3.80 ERA.

Kennedy is 7-4 with a 2.66 ERA in 18 career starts versus the Giants.

The Giants and Padres split 12 meetings this season coming into this series and conclude the regular season against each other with four games in San Francisco from Sept. 25-28.
