Report: Angels' Hamilton day-to-day with new shoulder injury

The health of Los Angeles Angels outfielder is becoming an increasing concern for the team as they prepare for the American League Division Series.

Hamilton has reportedly felt discomfort around his chest and ribs since Monday, which affected his breathing. He underwent an MRI and is considered day-to-day after an extensive session with a chiropractor.

Hamilton, who has 34 career postseason games to his credit, returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing 11 games because of his initial shoulder problem. He is not sure when he'll be able to swing the bat again.

The good news is the Angels clinched the American League West title on Wednesday night and can afford to give Hamilton nearly two weeks to recover before the start of the ALDS.
