Cleveland Indians (78-73) at Houston Astros (67-85), 8:10 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - If pitching is contagious, the Cleveland Indians are curious to see if recently good pitching will rub off on Danny Salazar.

The Indians can extend a mini-streak -- and end Salazar's mini-skid -- on Thursday night when they visit Minute Maid Park for the finale of a four-game series with the Houston Astros.

Cleveland lost its fourth straight game in Monday's series opener, but has since bounced back with consecutive wins thanks to seven innings from starter Corey Kluber on Tuesday and a shutout from Carlos Carrasco on Wednesday.

Carrasco allowed two infield hits and struck out 12 in a 2-0 win.

"It felt great," he said.

Carrasco (8-5) walked one for the Indians and teammate Yan Gomes went 2-for-4 and drove in both runs in the triumph.

The Indians are five games off the pace of the second wild card playoff position in the American League as they send Salazar out to end a two-start slide in which he's been raked for nine runs in 10 1/3 innings.

Prior to that, he's thrown six innings against Houston in Cleveland's 3-2 win in late August, then strung together 14 scoreless innings in two more starts.

The Astros send out veteran Scott Feldman, who's won three of four decisions in his last five home starts while allowing eight runs in 38 1/3 innings.

His last start there was Aug. 30, when he allowed three hits in a full nine innings to pick up a 2-0 win over Texas.

In two subsequent road outings, he's compiled a 2.51 earned run average.

He's not faced Cleveland since 2012, while pitching for the Rangers.

Brett Oberholtzer (5-12) allowed two runs on seven hits over 7 2/3 frames in last night's loss for Houston.
