Mets' Matt Harvey hits 95 mph in final simulated session

New York Mets ace Matt Harvey is making his way back after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April, and if his final mound session is any indication, he'll be ready to go when the 2015 season starts.
Harvey threw off the mound at Citi Field for the first and final time this season Monday, throwing three simulated innings for the Mets coaching staff.
He reportedly sat comfortably at 95 mph with his pitches, general manager Sandy Alderson told NJ.com. The welcome sign of improvement also spells the end of Harvey's 2014 workload, as the team shifts focus to getting him ready for spring training next season.
