Yankees' Headley returns to lineup after taking pitch on chin

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Third baseman Chase Headley is back in the Yankees' lineup Monday, after sitting out the team's weekend series in Baltimore.

Headley was drilled on the chin by a 96-mph fastball from Tampa Bay Rays reliever Jake McGee last Thursday. It was a scary moment, but thankfully not as severe as it looked. Headley was lucky enough to avoid a concussion and any facial fractures.

Since coming over from the San Diego Padres in a mid-season trade, Headley has hit .253/.356/.373 with four home runs and six doubles.
