Miguel Cabrera was back in the Detroit Tigers lineup Monday, despite a sore ankle that's plagued the slugger for over a month. Unfortunately for Corey Kluber and the Cleveland Indians, Cabrera's bat appeared to be just fine.

The reigning two-time MVP ended the longest home run streak of his career, drilling a two-run laser over the fence in left for his 18th homer of the season.

Cabrera added a second homer off Indians reliever Bryan Price in the eighth, helping power the Tigers to a 12-1 win in the opener of a pivotal four-game set in Cleveland.

His second blast was the 384th of his career, tying Harold Baines for 61st all-time. It was the first multi-homer game of the season for Cabrera, who remains on pace to register the lowest home run total since he hit 12 in his rookie year with the Florida Marlins in 2003.
