Nolan Reimold's stint with the Toronto Blue Jays was short-lived, as the oft-injured outfielder is now headed to the desert.
The 30-year-old appeared in 22 games for Toronto after being claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles on July 6, slashing .212/.283/.404 with two home runs and nine RBI.
In six seasons, the former second-round pick is a career .250/.324/.437 hitter with 43 home runs and 135 RBI, but numerous injuries have limited him to 308 games.
The Blue Jays designated Reimold for assignment on Tuesday after recalling outfielder Kevin Pillar.
