Braun leaves game vs. Padres with bruised left quad

Jake Roth / USA Today Sports

Braun was lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning of Monday's game due to a left quad contusion, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Braun's apparently dealing with a quad contusion, which makes sense, as he was seen noticeably limping earlier in the contest. Ron Roenicke will likely elaborate on his condition following the game, but for now, Gerardo Parra will take over in right field. Braun was 3-for-4 with a home run prior to exiting, and should be considered day-to-day.
