Angels pitcher's wife calls Will Middlebrooks a 'butthole' for breaking up no-hitter
Greg M. Cooper / USA TODAY Sports
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker was working on a no-hitter on Thursday night until Boston Red Sox infielder Will Middlebrooks broke it up with a double in the seventh inning.
Shoemaker's wife was not happy.
Red Sox fans responded, so she deleted the tweet and followed up with an explanation.
Shoemaker allowed only the one hit over seven and 2/3 innings, striking out nine and walking one en route to his 12th victory of the season.
In the end, Danielle was happy about his effort.
