The Los Angeles Dodgers added depth to their starting rotation late Saturday night, acquiring right-hander Kevin Correia from the Minnesota Twins, the teams announced.

On the season, Correia has sported a 5-13 record, with a 4.94 ERA in 23 starts. Over his career, the former fourth-round pick of the Giants in 2002, has a 74-91 record with a 4.53 ERA over 344 appearances.

The Dodgers rotation has taken a hit the last few weeks, losing Josh Beckett and Paul Maholm to injury, but still sport a one-through-five consisting of Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Dan Haren and newly acquired Roberto Hernandez.

The Dodgers close out Saturday night with a 66-52 record, good for first in the National League East, where they hold a 3.5 game lead over the Giants.
