Manager Fredi Gonzalez is awaiting how Heyward emerged from taking on running and hitting indoors, but the outfielder's sixth absence in the last seven games could very well come to pass. If Heyward isn't deemed healthy enough to take the field, a menagerie of options (Ryan Doumit, Jordan Schafer, or Emilio Bonifacio, among others) are at Gonzalez's disposal to slot in in right field.
