The Baltimore Orioles are looking bolster their starting rotation in preparation for a run in October and have reportedly been in contact with the New York Mets about the services of Bartolo Colon.

The Mets, however, appear reluctant to make such a deal, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

Whether it's an inability between the two sides to come to an agreement on a package for the 41-year-old or New York's unwillingness to assume a portion of his remaining salary this season and the $11 million he's owed next year, it's unknown what would cause the Mets to be hesitant about moving Colon.

Heyman also reports the Mariners and Giants are among the teams interested in acquiring Colon before Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline.
