The Colorado Rockies will hand the ball to left-hander Brett Anderson on Wednesday night, and it looks like he'll take his next turn at Coors Field, too.
According to a report from FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Anderson isn't a trade candidate for the Rockies. The team is planning to pick up his $12 million option for next season or work on signing him to a long-term deal.
Anderson is making $8 million this year, the final season of a four-year deal with a club option for the fifth. The Oakland A's are paying $2 million of that salary.
MLB.com's Thomas Harding confirmed Tuesday that there are no active discussions ongoing for Anderson.
