Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez was a late scratch from Saturday's game, and out of the starting lineup Sunday with a sore ankle.

Entering Sunday's contest in the sixth inning, Gonzalez's bat didn't add an offensive punch (he went 0-for-2), but his glove came through in the eighth.

Gonzalez robbed Neil Walker of extra-bases to hold the Pittsburgh Pirates to a two-run lead.
