Chamberlain will not see his role altered following the Wednesday acquisition of Joakim Soria, James Schmehl of MLive.com reports.

Analysis:

Chamberlain has served as the Tigers' setup man for the majority of the season, and it doesn't appear that manager Brad Ausmus intends to alter that. He likely doesn't want to tinker too much with the success Chamberlain has been having, as the 28-year-old owns a 2.40 ERA and 1.09 WHIP to go along with a 41:14 K:BB over 41.1 innings this season. Of course, this order could certainly change if either Chamberlain or Nathan begin to struggle at some point down the stretch. With Soria lurking behind them, both pitchers have very little margin for error from this point forward.
