Angels' Trout on Home Run Derby: 'I want to do it and I don't want to do it'

Los Angeles Angels phenom Mike Trout admitted Monday he's seriously ambivalent about participating in the upcoming Home Run Derby at Target Field on July 14, reports MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez.

The 22-year-old certainly deserves to be included in the competition, as he has blasted 18 home runs through 76 games this season while managing a .296 isolated power, the third-best mark in the majors.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia, meanwhile, indicated that he will not discourage Trout from participating.
