Giants set to skip Barry Zito's next scheduled start

Barry Zito will likely not be making his next scheduled start in Arizona on Sunday, according to Andrew Baggarly of CNSBayArea.com. 

Baggarly points out that the game notes for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks list the San Francisco starter as TBA, with the options being Zito or right-hander Yusmeiro Petit. 

The Giants are 0-10 and Zito has a 9.41 ERA in his 10 starts outside of San Francisco this season. He hasn't won a game since May 30, and in his last six starts, he has allowed 27 runs in just 23 2/3 innings.

Petit threw 20 of 26 first-pitch strikes in Tuesday’s victory at Coors Field.
