Royals-Twins postponed due to rain

Inclement weather in the Kansas City area has forced the Royals and Minnesota Twins to postpone Saturday's game at Kauffman Stadium some six hours before they were to throw the first pitch.

The contest will be made up as part of a split doubleheader between the teams on July 1. The Royals also announced Saturday's planned bobblehead giveaway will now be moved to the nightcap of that makeup twin bill.
If the weather allows for it, Kansas City and Minnesota will conclude their now-truncated two-game weekend series Sunday at 1:15 p.m. CT.
