Twins' J.T. Chargois: On DL with elbow injury
Chargois was placed on the 7-day DL at Triple-A Rochester due to an elbow impingement, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "Should be a short-term situation," said Brad Steil, Minnesota's director of minor-league operations.
Analysis:
Chargois has thrown just 2.1 innings this season as he missed time with a strained shoulder muscle. He's a candidate to be called up to the majors when healthy due to a fastball that can reach the high 90s and strong strikeout rates (10.5 K/9 last year at Triple-A).
