Angels' Andrew Bailey: Eying bullpen next week

Bailey (shoulder) said he's on track to throw his first bullpen session sometime next week, J.P. Hoornstra of The Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Bailey has been slowly working his way back after landing on the 10-day DL with shoulder inflammation earlier in April. He tossed out to 120 feet without an issue, clearing the way for him to throw a bullpen "early, middle next week." If all goes well, the 32-year-old will be one step closer to rejoining the Angels bullpen, where he is set to play a prominent role in 2017.
