Padres' Travis Jankowski: May also have fracture
Jankowski may have a hairline fracture of the tarsal navicular bone in his right foot, which also has a deep bone bruise that forced him to hit the disabled list Monday, Barry M. Bloom of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Manager Andy Green said doctors said the additional injury was possible. This news makes it likely that Jankowski will miss around a month of action as the Padres take a careful approach. This will allow Jabari Blash, Cory Spangenberg and Allen Cordoba to piece together at-bats in left field during his absence, with Blash being the most intriguing dice roll in deep fantasy leagues thanks to his power potential.
