Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Taking a seat Thursday

Zimmerman is not in the Nationals' Thursday lineup against the Rockies, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

He'll miss another shot at enjoying Coors Field after leaving the yard Wednesday, with Adam Lind taking his spot at first base. Zimmerman is off to a monstrous start to 2017 (.387/.439/.800 with eight home runs and 21 RBI in 82 plate appearances) but will cool his jets a bit before likely returning Friday.
