Angels' Cameron Maybin: Spearheads offense in Wednesday's victory

Maybin went 3-for-4 with three RBI from a pair of run-scoring singles in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Athletics. He also scored once.

Analysis:

Maybin's second-inning hit knotted the score at 2-2, while his seventh-inning single with the bases loaded gave the Angels some breathing room by extending their lead to 6-3. After a career season in Detroit last year that saw him slash .315/.383/.418 in 94 games, Maybin has fallen back down to earth thus far in 2017, which currently has him hitting near the bottom of the order. However, he brings some RBI and stolen-base upside, keeping him viable fantasy-wise even as he tries to snap out of what has essentially been a season-long funk at the plate.
