Look: Ortiz receives Silver Slugger via FedEx

"Uh, hello, I have a large silver baseball bat for a, um, 'Mr. Big Papi'?"
David Ortiz received a special delivery Friday: his 2016 Silver Slugger Award ... from FedEx.
While other players are receiving their awards from last season in on-field ceremonies in front of the home crowd, the former Boston Red Sox designated hitter apparently won't receive that honor.
As a 40-year-old, Ortiz slashed an impressive .315/.401/.620 after announcing the 2016 season would be his last. His 163 wRC+ was bested by only Mike Trout.
