Texas Rangers third baseman Joey Gallo is now the owner of the longest home run of the season after absolutely crushing a 462-foot shot off Kansas City Royals right-hander Nathan Karns on Friday night.
Gallo's missile traveled over the right-field stands and into the concourse at Globe Life Park at an exit velocity of 116.1 mph, making it also the hardest-hit home run of the season, according to Statcast.
