Adam Wainwright hasn't exactly dazzled on the mound early on this season, but the St. Louis Cardinals ace can still rake.
Wainwright, the veteran right-hander who went deep twice last year and led all pitchers (min. 30 PA) in isolated power, unloaded Friday on a Wily Peralta offering for his first home run of the 2017 campaign - a 402-foot blast that gave his club an early 2-1 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Thanks to Wainwright, who also added a two-run single in the top of the fourth, the Cardinals have now homered in 23 consecutive games at Miller Park.
