Watch: Martin busts out of 0-for-20 slump with double

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin broke out of his 0-for-20 slump with a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning in Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The double was Martin's first hit of the season. Prior to the series with the Brewers, he had at least cut down on his strikeouts despite the general futility with the bat. Against Milwaukee, however, he has struck out five times over the two games.

The slump is the longest to start the season for a Blue Jays batter since Pat Borders opened up the 1991 season 0-for-21 before singling, so Martin is spared a less than appealing franchise record.

Martin raised his batting average to .048 on the season, though his OBP is sitting at a relatively decent .259 due to his six walks.
