Tigers' Justin Upton: Early exit Tuesday

Upton was lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning of Tuesday's game, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

A reason for Upton's removal from the game was not immediately provided. It seems hard to imagine he would exit for non-injury reasons, but Upton was having some difficulty in left field during the sixth inning, so perhaps manager Brad Ausmus was unhappy with the mental errors.
