Josh Donaldson's troublesome calf is acting up again, though the source of the pain is a new one this time around.

After having to watch his All-Star third baseman limp off the field in the sixth inning against the Tampa Bay Rays, thereby having to remove him from the game, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons told the Toronto Star's Laura Armstrong the new issue is to the same calf that sidelined him in the spring, though it's now in a different spot.

For his part, Donaldson doesn't expect to miss much time with the newest setback, calling it a realistic chance he will be healthy in time for the Blue Jays' home opener Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers, according to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.

Donaldson missed over a month in spring training after suffering a calf strain on the club's first official day of workouts in February before being spotted on crutches at the team's spring facility.

The 31-year-old is currently listed as day to day, Gibbons said, according to Armstrong.
