Cubs' Kyle Schwarber: Feels good after catching Thursday

Schwarber said he felt good after catching in Thursday's spring training game against the Astros, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Schwarber caught in a minor-league game earlier this spring, but Thursday was his first MLB action at catcher since tearing his ACL and MCL in the second game of last season. "Yesterday was that last mental hurdle to know I can (catch) in the big leagues," Schwarber said. He'll serve as an emergency option behind Willson Contreras and Miguel Montero this year. Schwarber's fantasy value goes up, of course, if he's able to reach catcher eligibility.
