Nationals' Jayson Werth: Good news on toe tests

X-rays came back negative on Werth's sore toe, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

The veteran outfielder is continuing to rest, and he was even sent back to Washington D.C. ahead of Friday's Nationals Park contest against the Red Sox because manager Dusty Baker didn't want the 37-year-old to ride the bus. Even if he doesn't suit up much or at all in remaining tuneup work, Werth remains a decent late-rounds pick in mixed fantasy leagues.
