Queens won't have to wait long to see its beloved son return.

Bartolo Colon is pencilled in to start the second game of the season when the Atlanta Braves visit the New York Mets at Citi Field on April 5.

The 43-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Mets, becoming a beloved member of the clubhouse and a fan favorite.

Colon was forced to move on from the Mets this offseason, however. With little opportunity to crack the rotation, Colon opted to sign a one-year, $12.5-million deal with the division-rival Braves in November.

Julio Teheran will start Opening Day against Noah Syndergaard, and Colon will face Jacob deGrom.
