When SunTrust Park opens for the first time April 14 as the Atlanta Braves host the San Diego Padres, a new era of baseball will begin in "Hot-lanta." The Bartolo Colon era.
But, before the popular 43-year-old hurler, commonly known as "Big Sexy," steps on the SunTrust Park mound for the first time in front of a viewing audience, he decided to pay it an early visit.
The Braves captured Colon's moment with the mound in a sensational photo, which they posted on Twitter:
After spending the past three seasons with the New York Mets, Colon signed a one-year, $12.5-million deal with Atlanta in November.
